Dr Rebecca Ford

Programme Manager

Dr Rebecca Ford is a researcher in Energy at the Environmental Change Institute, and the research programme manager for the Oxford Martin Programme on Integrating Renewable Energy.

She has a Masters degree and DPhil in Engineering from the University of Oxford, has worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Business School at the University of Otago, and as Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Centre for Sustainability; an interdisciplinary research Centre at the University of Otago.

Rebecca is a multi-disciplinary scholar, whose research focuses on energy challenges and transitions toward a sustainable future, the role of different agents in creating change, and the implications and opportunities for new business models, existing and new infrastructure, and shifts in societal energy culture. She is interested in how people interact with energy systems, and how social science and technological insights can be co-develo
