Discussing the role of law and policy in energy transitions and addressing Short-Lived Climate Pollutants in particular. The session will focus on the Kenya SLCP Project that sought to understand the Scale and Status of Short- Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs) on Air Pollution, Climate Change and Women’s Health in Kenya. It will also highlight role of SDG 7 and philanthropy in addressing climate change from a Just Transition Perspective for developing countries.
Integrating Short-Lived Climate Pollutants into Climate Action, 10 November 2021
The session will focus on the importance of integrating Short-Lived Climate Pollutants in the implementation of the Paris Agreement and SDGs. In particular, the phasedown of black carbon and reducing methane by 45% to stay on a safe path to achieving 1.5⁰C.
